LOVAN (AGE 5)
A gentle and thoughtful boy finding confidence through therapy and play.
Lovan is a bright boy with cerebral palsy that affects his legs more than his hands. He is able to walk with a walker but still experiences muscle stiffness and weakness in his core that affects his walking posture.
Through therapy and encouragement, he has made great progress in confidence and social awareness. He is learning how to take turns, wait patiently, and follow instructions from his teachers. He uses a voice button that says, “It’s my turn.” At first, he pressed it repeatedly, but now he understands how to use it in conversation and play. Though not yet verbal, he’s becoming more expressive every day and continues to make steady progress through therapy and encouragement.
