What is Habibi International?
Habibi International is a nonprofit organization that seeks to transform the lives of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Middle East through humanitarian relief and sustainable development in partnerships with like-minded entities. Our vision is to see transforming communities birthed among the persecuted and displaced in the Middle East. You can read more about who we are by clicking here.
Is Habibi International faith-based?
Yes. We are committed to God’s call to love people, especially the vulnerable and disenfranchised, and to biblical justice. We serve everyone in need, regardless of faith, ethnicity, background or any other factor; we subscribe to the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence. At the same time, we recognize that particularly among the communities we work with, faith permeates all parts of life — and we celebrate that. We live and work alongside those of all faith traditions--Yazidis, Muslims and Christians--for the common good.

How do I set up recurring donations?
On our donation page, choose a fund and enter your gift amount. Under Frequency, select Regularly to to set up recurring donations at your preferred interval.
Does Habibi International send out annual reports?
Yes, we do send out annual reports detailing our yearly activities and financial statements. Click here to access an online copy of our latest Annual Report. If you would like to receive a physical copy of our annual report, please contact info@habibi-international.org.
Do you accept matching gifts?
Yes, Habibi International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that most corporate donation matching programs will accept. If you require any assistance setting up corporate matching, please contact info@habibi-international.org and we will be happy to help you get started.
Will I get a receipt for my giving?
Yes, we issue receipts to everyone who gives financially. For donations given through our online giving platform, you will receive an email receipt of your donation promptly after you give. For check or cash donations that are mailed to us, you will receive an annual statement summarizing all your contributions made throughout the year at the beginning of the next calendar year unless a separate receipt is requested by emailing info@habibi-international.org.

Is my gift tax-deductible?
As Habibi International is a 501(c)(3) organization, all giving is 100% tax-deductible for donors in the US.
Donations made from Singapore are not tax-deductible.
Is it safe and secure for me to donate online?
Yes, our giving platform utilizes Stripe payments to encrypt all data submitted to and from our donations page.
How will my donations be used?
Donations made to the General Fund will be used to support the mission of Habibi International according to where funds are needed most. Donations made to specific funds will be applied to projects within the selected program. If we receive excess contributions for a given fund, we will use the surplus funds to meet a similar need or project.
