Community Centers

Habibi International has established two community centers in Bersive and Chamishku. Together, they provide health, education, and community initiatives that restore hope and create belonging.

We are a vibrant, inclusive center where people of diverse cultures and faiths gather to share their gifts and collaborate. We create a safe space for authentic relationships and encourage one another toward our full potential. Together with our community, we rebuild and redeem what was lost, drawing on the strength and creativity of every generation.

PHYSICAL HEALTH

  • Medical Projects

We provide essential medical care through surgeries such as orthopedic, cataract, urogynecology, and cleft lip repair. Our programs also include PTNS sessions, physical therapy, clinical consultations, and home visits to support recovery and ongoing health needs.

    Community Health

We partner with the community to strengthen long-term wellness by offering eye checks and distributing reading and corrective glasses. Our work includes health education programs and women’s wellness initiatives that equip families with knowledge and tools for healthier living.

    Dental Care

Our dental services address both urgent and preventative needs through treatments like scaling, extractions, and root canal therapy. We also run oral hygiene programs—engaging parents and children in education activities that promote lifelong oral health.

MENTAL HEALTH

  • Individual Counseling

We provide counseling for those facing suicide risk, trauma, and grief, and offer play therapy to support children in processing their experiences.

    Group Work

We create safe, supportive spaces for growth through therapeutic group sessions and mentoring programs. SHINE is a 10-week journey for women and girls focused on resilience, confidence, and personal development. For youth, STRENGTHS (teen boys) and HOPE (teen girls) are 10-week programs that encourage self-discovery, healthy choices, and personal growth. We also run a leadership program for teens ages 13–18, equipping them to build identity, purpose, and vision for the future.

    Training and Awareness

We equip local leaders and NGOs with training on specialized topics such as child protection, suicide awareness, listening skills, and trauma-informed care.

SOCIAL HEALTH

  • Education

We provide English classes for children, youth, and young adults, conversational English sessions, and Arabic literacy and numeracy classes for women. Our programs also include a homework club for children and higher education scholarships for promising students. We also invest in the future through higher education scholarships for promising young adults.

    Skills Development

We offer computer classes and business basics training that equip youth and adults with practical skills for future opportunities.

    Community Building

Our community center hosts children’s and youth programs, free play opportunities, and community events that bring people together for learning, celebration, and connection.
